A : the first numbers stand for the airline : 081 for Quantas. The AWB no is 081 - 33826715

D : in the Flight no QF002/27 the two letters stand for the airline.  27 is the day of departure

E : QF091/29 : Arrival is on 29, on the flight  QF091.

F Gross weight was 108 kg, the number on scales. However G was the chargeable Weight : 110.5 kg because calculation was made by volume : the airline has divided by 6000 the volume of the shipment. The result was 110.5, called I the VOL. WT ( Volume Weight ).  In centimetres, [ 37 x 56 x 32 x 10 boxes / 6000 = 110.5. As cost per kg was H 157 THB , the total weight charge was 157 X 110.5 = 17,349 THB. If the Gross Weight had been higher than the VOL.WT, then this Gross Weight would have been the Chargeable Weight . The volume of the freight is increased by the leaves of the plants. Using foam boxes instead of cartons, or using smaller cartons leave more empty spaces in each : the arrangement of potted plants with various sizes is easier in bigger cartons.

C : FREIGHT COLLECT means : transport paid after arrival at the destination airport by the consignee. This transport charge includes O ,  L Total Other Charges Due Agent and M Total Other Charges Due Carrier.

 Here Total Collect amounts to N 22,256 THB ( Thai Baht ), in which O 17,349 THB is the cost on a  kg basis. Because Freight is Collect we don't have to pay anything more outside the AWB ( except a few taxes to the Government ) . But if the Freight is Prepaid we must pay to our freight agent an additional amount of charges at Bangkok airport, which is not indicated in the AWB.  They don't appear in  L and M . We will know this amount within a week after departure.
